Raising a Husband with a Shopping Mall

Unlucky Gu Yuan is struck by a stray bullet in a shopping mall.

When he wakes up again, Gu Yuan has transmigrated to an unknown ancient era, in the middle of a famine. The rice jar at home is empty, and the water is almost gone.

He is a live-in son-in-law. His husband is almost as tall as he is, and the original owner didn’t like him.

They also have a frail little baby who has just learned to walk.

His husband goes into the mountains every day to look for water. The lazy original owner not only often steals the family’s food and water to help his parents and brothers, but even gives handouts to a widow in the village.

What a truly ungrateful traitor to his own family.

Gu Yuan thinks that if he has to transmigrate into a world like this, into a person like this, he might as well die. There’s no food or water. He’s going to die.

As it turns out, the shopping mall where he died has come along with him.

Now he won’t starve to death, and the entire shopping mall belongs to him. Hahaha! He throws his head back and laughs with joy.

Xia Ji soon notices that his husband has started acting strangely, being secretive all day long.

He used to ignore the baby when he saw him, and even get annoyed when the child cried. Now he watches the baby with shining eyes every day.

Xia Ji begins to be cautious, not letting the child out of his sight for even a moment...

But the little ingrate runs right off whenever Gu Yuan waves some tasty food at him, scampering after him, and won’t come back no matter how often Xia Ji calls.

What’s more, Xia Ji notices that Gu Yuan has started to improve. Not only does he patiently soothe the baby, but he also goes to find water and brings food home. He’s become diligent, too.

Xia Ji narrows his eyes. As long as Gu Yuan doesn’t hurt the little master, keeping him around won’t be a problem...
