The Thawing Season [Entertainment Industry]

Agent x Actress

Rekindled romance / Reborn

The day Jiang Ying won the grand slam of Best Actress awards, news of her former agent Chi Qingshuang's suicide topped the trending searches.

It was said that Jiang Ying and her former agent had a terrible relationship. They had been tied together when Jiang Ying was a nobody, and as soon as her career showed the slightest promise, she ended their contract.

Even after Jiang Ying became a hugely famous A-list star, Chi Qingshuang remained a junior agent at that shabby little agency.

After their contract ended, Jiang Ying and Chi Qingshuang never appeared together again. Many people in the industry suspected that there was bad blood between them.

Plenty of people tried to curry favor with Jiang Ying by taking a shot at Chi Qingshuang.

But no one knew that, when Jiang Ying heard of Chi Qingshuang's death backstage, she instantly vomited blood.

She didn't even collect her award. In the pouring rain, she drove to the funeral home.

She claimed Chi Qingshuang's ashes in the name of her lover.

In the twenty-third year since she had last seen Chi Qingshuang, Jiang Ying was diagnosed with stomach cancer.

As she lay dying, her family and friends wept bitterly. Jiang Ying alone closed her eyes with a smile.

She couldn't wait to go to the underworld and see her wife.

But when she opened her eyes again, voices were clamoring all around her.

Jiang Ying had been reborn.

She had returned to one month before Chi Qingshuang's suicide.

Chi Qingshuang never thought she would see Jiang Ying again.

She never imagined that, the moment they were reunited, Jiang Ying would rush over and kiss her.

She never imagined Jiang Ying would somehow lead her into bed.

And she certainly never imagined that, as she drifted in and out of consciousness, she would hear Jiang Ying murmur her love while biting her collarbone.
