A Heart's Addiction Is Hard to Break (Yu Wu X Zhu Shuning)

A second chance after a broken relationship

A rebellious insomniac pup x a gentle upperclasswoman with mild depression

Zhu Shuning had studied art since elementary school. At fifteen, she was admitted early to Jiangcheng Academy of Fine Arts, and at eighteen, she went to M Country on a government scholarship.

No one knew that, alone in a foreign country, the solitary art prodigy had developed insomnia.

A year was far too long. Through one endless sleepless night after another, Zhu Shuning held her brush but could barely make a single mark on the paper.

Rumors that the genius had fallen from grace grew more and more widespread.

Then, in her second year studying in M Country, she was assigned to share a tent with an upperclasswoman from the literature department during a field trip. That night, surrounded by the rich fragrance of bellflowers, Zhu Shuning fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

She had found her sleeping pill.

The upperclasswoman liked to wear plain-colored qipao dresses, outlining the slender curves of her figure. Her dark hair was like clouds, gathered up with an ebony hairpin.

Her gentle eyes were always curved with a warm smile.

Even her name had a natural poetic grace.

Yu Wu.

Like misty clouds, impossible to grasp.

So after they started dating, Zhu Shuning became excessively possessive.

Their kisses had to be deep.

When they went out, they had to stay within an inch of each other.

When they made love, she had to leave her mark.

She used deep intimacy and vivid red kiss marks to prove that Yu Wu was really there.

Three years of love had been too blissful.

She never imagined there would come a day when she would tell Yu Wu they were breaking up, eyes red with tears.

Nor did she imagine Yu Wu would tell her:

She never wanted her again.

My lover is my miracle cure, the addiction of the heart I can never break.
