Xu Xing is a rich second-generation kid, a fresh graduate who stays home doing nothing. One moment, his family has just gone bankrupt.
Lollipop in his mouth, he squats by the roadside and opens his iPhone 18 Pro Max. The group chat is flooded with messages from people offering to take him in, but one person quickly spams the chat and pushes them all out of sight.
[Mo Ting: You’re all just trying to use my brother and leave him with nothing! Bro, don’t listen to them! I ran away from home to protect you!]
Xu Xing sends a question mark.

Turning down his friends’ villas, hotels, luxury cars, and sports cars, Xu Xing moves into a shabby old apartment in the old district.
He sets out to learn how to live, how to be poor, and how to be an utterly ordinary person.
Fortunately, it isn’t too hard to adjust, and he has an idiot to keep him company.
One day, Xu Xing asks, “So why give up being a rich kid and come live here as a broke loser?”
Mo Ting says, “I thought you’d be having a really hard time, and I wanted to help you out.”
“…Don’t you think you’d be more helpful as a rich kid?”
Mo Ting looks shocked. “So I shouldn’t have run away from home?”
Xu Xing kicks him in the butt. “Then hurry up and apologize to your family! Can’t you see we can barely afford the utilities?!”

Reader’s note:
1. Short story, around 150,000 characters. Happy ending.
2. The main story is a day-to-day account in the top’s first-person perspective. The bottom’s third-person perspective may appear later on.
3. The bottom is dumb, loaded, and incredibly chatty, with questionable values and worrying intelligence. He has an enormous crush: his whole life revolves around one amazing brother, and his dream is to cling to him forever.
4. The brother may be bankrupt and a little broke, but he won’t suffer too much.
5. Later, the top will return his feelings. He’s a great brother and takes good care of the people he cares about. The bottom’s core programming is loving his brother.
6. The top has a romantic history.
There won’t be any sex scenes in this story. Feel free to imagine them yourself~
