Who could have guessed that Adriano, the short-tempered “powder keg,” would have a twin sister who was so sweet and innocent?

Widely acclaimed as Brazil’s “national treasure of a beauty,” she topped the world’s most beautiful faces list for six years in a row. From a barefoot girl in the favelas to a Hollywood queen who commanded capital, the foreign media said that “every move she made was a stroke of genius.”

Adriana smiled faintly. “That’s right. After all, I have a soul from 2026.”

In 2001, 19-year-old Kaka was selected for Brazil’s U20 team for the first time.

He soon hit it off with his teammates, giving it everything he had on the training field, until he realized that Adriano, who looked so fierce, was actually the team’s most popular player.

“Why?” Kaka asked, bewildered.

His old friend Baptista smiled mysteriously. “Well, Adri has a remarkable little sister.”

Unable to resist his curiosity, Kaka joined his teammates in sneaking a look at one of Adri’s treasured videotapes.

When the girl on screen smiled, Kaka heard a wedding march playing in his ears.

After training the next day, Adri looked at Kaka, who stood behind him hesitating to speak, and asked impatiently, “What do you want?”

Kaka cleared his throat, the tips of his ears turning red.

“Big brother.”

I only got into soccer near the end of the 2026 World Cup, and knew nothing about the sport beforehand. I’ve been researching Kaka while writing, so please consider anything that doesn’t quite fit to be my own interpretation. Some trophies and competitions will be changed.
