Married Life with the Great Detective

[Old-era aristocratic young lady x modern-era detective]

At their first meeting, Gu Wanyin, who was being hunted by her family, caught Ye Bozhou, dressed in a crisp uniform, to argue her case. Watching her debate the family elders with quick-witted eloquence, he decided she didn't seem to need his help, so he simply smiled and stood aside to back her up.

Before long, a matchmaker showed up at the Gu residence. Wanyin heard that the groom was the young master of the Ye family, a promising young man of exceptional learning, and that he had already agreed to the marriage.

On the other side, Ye Bozhou heard the same story: the Gu family was a family of scholars, and their eldest daughter had fallen for him at first sight.

After their wedding, however, Gu Wanyin discovered that this marriage was a sham. For instance, Ye Bozhou was supposedly Shanghai's famous detective, but in the three months since she married him, this man had spent every day studying the so-called duties of a husband with her and hadn't solved a single case!
