So Much Left Unsaid, Waiting Quietly for Your Return

After transmigrating to the world of Naruto seven years ago, Sato Haru ran a tiny dumpling shop on a corner in Konoha, content to be an ordinary genin who kept out of the world's affairs.

The only exception was Uchiha Itachi, a regular customer for whom Haru harbored feelings he could never put into words.

The boy always sat alone in the corner and ordered just one skewer of three-color dumplings. Haru quietly memorized his tastes, hiding a careful tenderness in every serving of sweet sauce. He witnessed firsthand the tender bond between Itachi and Shisui, and knew the tragedy of Shisui's death and the coming night of the clan massacre. All his pleas and heartache stayed trapped inside him, finding expression only in a plate of warm dumplings.

On the evening they parted, a soft, sigh-like "Wait for me" became a promise that would carry them across the boundaries of fate.

No one in the world knew that a warm lamp had burned for years in a corner of Konoha. Year after year, the shopkeeper made soft, sweet dumplings and carefully tucked away all the concern he had never managed to voice, quietly waiting for the boy who bore the whole world's darkness to return beneath the moonlight.
