Lin Zhou was a legendary mecha engineer who ushered humanity into the Mecha Era, but sadly, she died unexpectedly at a young age.
When she opened her eyes again, it was three hundred years later. She had transmigrated.
Three centuries later, humanity is locked in constant war with the Zerg. With the mecha world in decline, humanity is steadily losing ground and stands on the brink of destruction.
After assessing the situation, Lin Zhou decides to return to where it all began, the Federal First Military Academy, and revitalize the mecha world from the ground up.

The Federal First Military Academy gets a new student with "none of the three": no talent, no connections, and no money. Among the academy's many geniuses, she's a complete good-for-nothing.
The geniuses look down on her:
"There's a good-for-nothing every year, but this year's got to be the worst."
"Don't worry. Give it a few days and I guarantee she'll be crying as she drops out."
Everyone waits to see Lin Zhou make a fool of herself, only to have their words thrown right back in their faces.
In class, a professor who got the job through connections spouts nonsense. Lin Zhou cuts him off, and the furious professor slams down his textbook. "If you think you can do better, come teach the class!"
Without even looking at the textbook, Lin Zhou delivers the entire lecture flawlessly. She can't help it: she wrote that textbook in her previous life.
The others sneer, "A bookworm who only knows theory. Just wait until she gets beaten up in practical class!"
But in practical class, Lin Zhou pilots a C-class training mecha and beats the school bully, who's driving an A-class mecha, to a pulp. Then she says with a wicked grin, "What a nice mecha. How about I take it apart for you?"
Some are still unconvinced. "So what if you can fight? Being able to build mecha is what really matters!"
Later, an accident on an off-campus trip leaves a group of teachers and students stranded on a desolate planet, about to become a meal for the Zerg.
As everyone gives in to despair, Lin Zhou calmly says, "Give me every scrapped mecha in the junkyard."
"What for?"
"To build a new mecha."
Everyone scoffs. "Out of this junk? Keep dreaming!"
Lin Zhou spends three days tinkering away in a small room. At last, she walks out piloting a new mecha. Everyone stares in shock, then falls to their knees in admiration.
An S-class mecha.

"So I hear you're all geniuses."
"Too bad she's the ancestor of every genius."

Six months later, a reporter comes to campus for an interview and discovers that the culture at the Federal First Military Academy has completely changed.
The entitled nobles who used to bully others have vanished without a trace.
The incompetent professors who led their students astray have been sent off to work as cleaners and security guards.
Even the arrogant geniuses who once looked down on everyone are now lining up to humbly ask a commoner freshman for advice.
The reporter is astonished and rushes to see what makes this new student so extraordinary.
When the reporter learns that the student is also named Lin Zhou, they are instantly thrilled and come up with countless headlines.
