Ji Xiyue, a game designer, is transported into the world of her game and becomes the last tentacle monster. Hunted by a joint task force of the company and the government, she clings desperately to her secret identity, terrified of being torn limb from limb for experiments.

During the beta test of the game Reboot the Wasteland, its survival difficulty was too high and its plot too frustrating, earning it a torrent of abuse.

Now: Ji Xiyue runs circles around the biotech company, destroys its experiment, and scatters the boss's ashes.
The players are stunned:

Now: Ji Xiyue sends the cult leader flying with one tentacle, sweeps away the monster horde with another, and establishes a new order in the wasteland with an iron fist.
The players are moved:
