Becoming a Lynx and Taking the Zoo by Storm

After Tang Ci died from overwork, she became a lynx living in captivity at a zoo. Though she had been reborn as an animal, Tang Ci was determined to lie flat.

Eat, sleep, sleep, eat, and bask in the sun with her belly turned up. What a carefree life.

But why were there no visitors at this zoo?

The kindhearted director was an elderly woman who fed the animals until they were sleek and glossy, while scrimping and saving for herself. Looking at the zoo's dismal business and the fresh meat that never changed, Tang Ci decided to use the marketing experience she'd gained in her previous life to promote it.

First, she'd squeeze through a gap in her enclosure and secretly use the director's phone to post a short video, taking a selfie from a lynx's point of view.

While the video slowly gained traction, she'd act cute and roll around to show off her intelligence, earning the director's trust by sticking close to her.

Next, while the director cleaned the animals' enclosures, she'd persuade them to learn tricks.

The slogan: No animal performances, unless the animals insist on performing.

Thanks to Tang Ci's efforts, all the animals were willing to cooperate, except for Laya, a vicious, unruly golden-brown caracal covered in scars from past abuse.

With no other choice, Tang Ci treated her with ten thousand times the patience.

She got slapped in the face with a paw. Tang Ci endured it.

She got her tail bitten short. Tang Ci endured it.

She got her face rubbed with a scent mark. Tang Ci endured it.

As the zoo gradually became a sensation, Laya the caracal grew closer and closer to Tang Ci. She wanted to cuddle while walking, cuddle while sleeping, and cuddle while eating.

Wherever Tang Ci went, Laya followed. The result was that a tiger raised a paw to greet Tang Ci, and Laya hissed at the tiger, who was many times bigger than her.

A turtle grinned at Tang Ci, and Laya smacked its shell dozens of times.

Over time, the animals started saying Tang Ci was henpecked. Tang Ci sternly forbade such baseless rumors.

Laya, showing her belly and licking Tang Ci's lips, asked, "Is it really just a rumor?"

Tang Ci: "It... probably is."
