An Old Marriage Pact

Everyone in the compound knew Chen Linzhou had a little fiancée in the countryside. His grandfather had arranged their marriage when they were children, but Chen Linzhou refused to acknowledge it no matter what.

On his tenth birthday, Chen Linzhou had once declared that if that little country bumpkin dared to come looking for him, he would chase her right out the door with a broom.

Years later, on a snowy, windy night, someone knocked on the Chen family's door.

The next day, a few of his childhood friends gathered outside the Chen home. Even Zhou Ze, who was all the way in America, had rushed back. They were all waiting to see how Chen Linzhou would chase his little fiancée out the door with a broom.
