The first cup of tea goes to the man in power.
The paper cup crumpled in Bai Hehui's hand, and the tea spilled all over the man.
The conference room fell completely silent, except for her startled cry.
Panicking, Bai Hehui crouched down to clean the water off his suit trousers.
But the man kicked her in the shoulder.
She landed hard on the carpet. Looking up, she saw his face, so handsome it was almost uncanny...
"I'll wipe it clean for you!" She scrambled up and grabbed his trouser leg.
But below the leg, there was nothing.
Confused, she felt around, then touched something hard and metallic. It was a prosthetic leg!
She stared up at the man standing above her...
"Get out."
"You can't even carry tea without spilling it. How can you be so stupid?!"
"That's Xing Yan, a devil who'd eat you alive."
"Ever since he lost his leg in a car accident five years ago, his personality has changed completely. So what if he's rich and powerful? He's still disabled..."
Just as expected, Bai Hehui lost her hotel job. Then, at her husband's urging, she applied for a high-paying housekeeping position.
"Mr. Xing, here's Bai Hehui's file."
Xing Yan looked over her file and smiled with cruel delight. "Good. She came right to my door."
"Would you like to hire her?"
"Of course."
Bai Hehui dutifully worked as Xing Yan's housekeeper, but the man pulled her into bed. "Remember, this is part of your job, too."
!!
Her husband wouldn't change his ways, and his debts kept piling up.
With no other choice, Bai Hehui went to Xing Yan for help. "Mr. Xing, please, help me."
Xing Yan's brow twitched. Impatiently, he gripped her chin. "Fool. Haven't you suffered enough at the hands of men?"
"If you want my help, show me you're sincere."
"Put your back into it, and don't let your teeth touch me."
The man suddenly furrowed his brows and looked down at her. "Is this how your ex-husband taught you?"
