Dark, unhinged top x gentle, fatherly bottom | Size difference and age gap
The Su and He families had been close for generations. Their villas stood next to each other, with only a low wall separating their gardens.
When Mrs. He was pregnant with He Min, she tried to arrange a betrothal with Mrs. Su.
But He Min turned out to be a boy, so the betrothal naturally fell through.
Su Yanchi first met He Min when the little one was just a month old.
He leaned over the crib to look. The pink little bundle grinned at him, babbling as it reached out and clutched his index finger.
When He Min learned to talk, his first word wasn't "Mama" or "Papa," but a muddled "Gege."
When he learned to walk, the first thing he did was toddle into Su Yanchi's arms.
At five, while playing house, he hugged a doll and looked up at Su Yanchi with a blink. "Gege, you be the mommy."
Su Yanchi just thought he was being silly and never took it seriously.
Whatever He Min wanted, he gave him. He spoiled him so much that even He Min's parents couldn't stand it. They said he indulged him more than his own father would.
When He Min was six, his parents died in a car accident.
Su Yanchi still remembered that rainy night. Little He Min was led into their home by Mrs. Su. He neither cried nor fussed, just stood quietly in the entryway, soaked through.
Su Yanchi crouched to meet his eyes. Before he could speak, He Min threw his arms around his neck.
His little body was freezing. He buried his face in Su Yanchi's neck and finally whispered, as if he couldn't hold it in any longer, "Gege, I don't have a home anymore."
Su Yanchi held him tight and heard himself say, "Gege is here. My home is your home."
From that day on, the Su family took He Min in.
Su Yanchi gave this little brother all his patience and tenderness.
He stayed with him through nights full of nightmares, through every holiday without his parents, and as he grew up.
When He Min was fifteen, Su Yanchi realized the boy had stopped calling him Gege.
He called him by his full name instead, his voice low and hoarse, his gaze burning with a heat Su Yanchi couldn't understand.
At He Min's eighteenth birthday party, he got drunk, and Su Yanchi helped him back to his room.
As soon as he set him on the bed, a pair of arms clamped around his waist. The world spun, and He Min rolled over, pinning him beneath him.
The drunken boy looked down at him, his eyes holding a fire that had burned for eighteen years. His voice was so hoarse it barely sounded like his own. "Gege, I don't want anything else. You're the best gift of all."
Only then did Su Yanchi finally realize:
His little brother, six years younger than him, had never planned to be his brother in the first place.
[Little Scene]
Su Yanchi attended a business banquet in a suit and tie, holding a glass as he exchanged pleasantries with people.
One business partner was particularly eager, repeatedly coming over to offer him drinks, his face jiggling with a broad, fleshy grin.
In a corner of the banquet hall, He Min lowered the brim of his baseball cap, his expression so grim he looked ready to kill.
Su Yanchi made an excuse to get some air in the restroom. As soon as he turned into the hallway, a hand shot out from the shadows and dragged him into a nearby lounge.
The door slammed shut, and He Min pinned him against it.
He Min: "Why did you smile at him?"
Su Yanchi laughed. "He's a business partner. It's just proper business etiquette..."
"I don't care." He Min bent down and bit his collarbone, muttering, "I don't want you smiling at him."
Su Yanchi was about to ask when he'd learned to follow him around, but He Min covered his mouth before he could say a word.
When the kiss ended, He Min pressed his forehead to his. His voice was low and hoarse, full of hurt and possessiveness. "Gege, you're still sticking up for him."
Su Yanchi finally understood.
This little brat wasn't going through a rebellious phase.
He was a walking jealousy jar.
