The Little Taoist Priest Who Kidnapped the Evil God of the Fine Arts School

Zhang Yanxian is a half-trained young Taoist. To avoid the heavy responsibility of taking over the family business, he makes a beeline for North America to attend university.

On his first day of school, he runs into a senior with blond hair, blue eyes, gold-rimmed glasses, broad shoulders, a slim waist, and a cold expression. He's 1.9 meters tall.

Seeing the shiny silver cross hanging around the senior's neck, Zhang Yanxian claps him on the shoulder and flashes a big grin. "Hey, a fellow professional!"

-

The school is crawling with evil energy, and strange things keep happening.

Wherever something strange happens, the senior is sure to be there.

Zhang Yanxian trots after him. "Father, here to perform an exorcism?"

Senior: ...

Zhang Yanxian: "Did you bring garlic? Holy water? Scripture? Why didn't you bring anything? Here, let me draw you a talisman."

Senior: ...

The talisman stuck to the "zombie's" forehead does nothing. The "zombie" lunges, and the senior scoops Zhang Yanxian into his arms. "Be careful."

Zhang Yanxian pulls out a stun baton. "Heh, Father, let's believe in science instead!"

-

"Seth, have you heard of the Church of the Morning Star? It's a cult. Their pope goes by the name 'Lucifer' and uses torture to punish the greedy. I'm pretty sure they're behind all the strange things happening at school."

The senior nudges his gold-rimmed glasses with his cross. "I'm Lucifer."

Zhang Yanxian bursts out laughing. "That's a pretty cold joke."

-

One night, Zhang Yanxian is cornered by red-robed cardinals and collapses. In a daze, he hears them trembling as they beg the evil god to punish him. Then the pope emerges from the darkness, walks toward him, and lifts him into his arms.

The pope: "He's mine."

The congregation tries to stop him. "Lucifer won't let him go!"

The pope sweeps them with a cold gaze. His voice is quiet, yet it silences everyone in fear:

"I am Lucifer."
