After Becoming a Useless Viscount

That night, the heavy gates of the viscount’s manor slowly swung open. The noble yet wicked Viscount Beaumont gathered all the city’s supplies inside.

And the poor townspeople were brought into the manor as well.

Curtains and rags were sewn into bigger quilts, and firewood and planks were piled high. The starving, freezing townsfolk crowded into the manor, wrapped in carpets and bed sheets as they weathered the bitter cold together.

That same night, every word of praise in the world was offered up in reverence, and the name of the future Duke of the Blizzard would echo across the continent.
