Wen Si, a chemistry prodigy, transmigrates into another world. He originally hopes to use magic to reach the pinnacle of life, only to discover that he has no magical talent at all.
What should you do if you transmigrate into a magical world but can't become a mage?
Wen Si: It's fine. Maybe I can study alchemy instead. That's a lot harder than making flames appear from my fingertips.
He only meant to get by somehow, but the alchemy here turns out to be nothing like he imagined!
Professor: Child, let me teach you the magic of turning water sweet!
All you have to do is break down coal to get six carbon atoms, extract ten hydrogen atoms from water, then combine them with five oxygen atoms, and you can easily make glucose!
Wen Si: ?
Wen Si: You mean I can split a piece of coal into carbon atoms, join them tightly with covalent bonds to form a stable tetrahedral lattice that extends infinitely, and make perfect diamonds?
Professor, overjoyed: Child, you really are gifted!

Among the 274th class of apprentices at the Magic Tower, a gloomy exchange student has slipped in.
He is obsessed with reading and alchemy, determined to become a great scholar, but he has not the slightest talent for magic. Even his teachers have tactfully advised him to find another path.
Then, during an exam, the students encounter an accident. While the teachers panic outside the secret realm, the crystal ball shows the student suddenly throwing off his robe, tossing out a package, and muttering:
"2KNO3+S+3C=K2S+N2↑+3CO2↑. Die, magical flame!"
With a loud boom, an ancient beast dies, leaving the young man standing in the wind, his silhouette looking impossibly cool.
The entire school: ...
Hey! That's just an ordinary bundle of explosives, isn't it?! Don't act as if you really used magic!
And what you just recited wasn't a spell, just an ordinary chemical equation, right?!
#You alchemists, stop claiming credit for things that aren't yours! This doesn't make you a mage!!!
[Reader's Guide]
1. Plot and daily life. A goofy story with a platonic pairing. There isn't a single serious person in it.
2. The chemical formulas in this setting only share names and elements with real ones. There are plenty of other original worldbuilding details too, so please don't apply them to reality.
3. I'm currently building up a backlog. Once it starts, updates are tentatively every other day, but if the story gets lots of favorites, I'll do my best to update daily!
4. Not traditional Western fantasy. More like a light novel, just for fun (wink~).

Theme: To transform the world like grass bending before the wind.
