Playing at Childhood Sweethearts

[Details to be revised]

*Brooding, disabled former star X rational, resilient history teacher

*Mutual pining | Childhood sweethearts

Ever since she met Shen Zhaokui, Song Yihe has silently recited two mantras to herself every day:

- An older brother is just an older brother.

- An older brother can't become a lover.

From the alley where they played as children to the towering high-rises of the city,

she watched him go from the school's honors board to the giant screens of shopping malls.

The only thing that never changed was their status as "siblings."

*

Everyone in the industry knows

that Shen Zhaokui has a childhood sweetheart he grew up with.

No one knows who she is or what she looks like.

--Until the wire accident.

*

Photos of the accident scene spread through the media like a virus.

Even behind thick layers of pixelation, everyone understood one thing:

Shen Zhaokui, who had shot to fame at a young age,

would never return to the screen.

*

Shen Zhaokui has never called Song Yihe "little sister."

Even though--

she is his closest friend, his childhood sweetheart, the one he can tell anything,

and the person he couldn't stop worrying about even as he was being loaded into the ambulance.

Because a little sister is a little sister,

and an older brother can't become his little sister's husband.

*The male lead is disabled; this is a partial disability story.
