After Winning Over That Swordsman

As she prepared to start her third year of senior high school, Kurusu Akane received a full-dive simulation game pod from the older brother of the culprit next door, the one who had made her repeat her final year twice. He called it a gift to "make up for his little brother's behavior."

Kurusu Akane was skeptical, but she trusted her childhood friend and figured the person who'd delivered it wouldn't actually set her up, so she climbed inside. And then...

She got screwed over!!!

World One: [You have been killed by a demon.]

What demon?

What the heck?! You mean I spent over ten days dutifully playing (over ten years passed in-game), and my noblewoman character didn't even get a glimpse of an eligible love interest before she died?!

Huh? What happened to the dating game??? Why are there supernatural elements in it?!

Full of complaints, Kurusu Akane decisively started a second playthrough.

This time, she started out stranded in the pleasure district, where the madam was just about to introduce her to a customer. But the now-savvy player picked up on a crucial detail from the people around her: people had been 'disappearing' from the brothel district at night lately.

It was a demon!

Without a doubt, it had to be one of the things that killed her in the last playthrough!

Determined not to get killed right off the bat again, and set on completing a romance route at least once, Kurusu Akane launched her escape plan as soon as she was taken to the Aya House. As luck would have it, the moment she climbed out of the attic, she spotted the red-haired swordsman below, the one who had slain the demons in her last playthrough.

[A few notes about this story]

· First of all, this story is the author's spur-of-the-moment indulgence, written mainly to get with Tsugikuni Yoriichi... Though somehow, as the story went on, it seems there was more to it than just him... (But seriously, doesn't anyone else think he's actually a really dependable adult?)

· Second, here's the important part: the author can't guarantee an update schedule, so please be gentle.

· Third, this is not a Fourth Calamity novel! The heroine is an immersive player, and she isn't invincible.

· Finally, a content warning: The author likes characters to have a complete backstory, so Yoriichi has already been married once before meeting the player, and his wife has passed away. He's a widower Yoriichi. (I think it's delicious. The first person plants the tree, and the next gets to enjoy its shade. Those who have experienced loss understand how to cherish someone more.) If you can't accept this, then this story isn't for you. Maybe we'll meet again in another story.
