A Beta's False Pheromones

As a beta, Fang Nan was more or less the family outcast. He endured the cold treatment in silence for a long time, until one day he ran into Yuan Yi.

Yuan Yi's alpha levels were so high that his differentiation had gone wrong, leaving him unable to sense pheromones. He leaned close to Fang Nan, sniffed his neck, and asked in confusion, "Are you an omega?"

Yuan Yi had smelled nonexistent "pheromones" on a beta.

And suddenly, everyone noticed Fang Nan.

.

In this ABO world of strict hierarchies, alphas and omegas with pheromones sit at the top of the pyramid. The higher their rank, the higher they stand.

Yuan Yi, heir to the Yuan family and an S-rank alpha, was the center of attention, dazzling everyone wherever he went. He had just one fatal flaw: abnormal pheromone perception.

So the Yuan family approached Fang Nan and signed an agreement with him.

.

Fang Nan thought he and Yuan Yi had a purely therapeutic relationship. But the beta didn't know that the alpha's pheromones filled his entire being, wrapping tightly around him and baring their teeth as they announced to everyone who could sense them:

"He's mine."
