Rong Huan suddenly receives word that his partner, Yan Zongwei, was in a car accident and has lost his memory. His memories stop at age eighteen, and he doesn't remember Rong Huan at all. Worse, his heat has come early, and Rong Huan has to help him through it.
The amnesiac Yan Zongwei is childish, domineering, and mean. He can't believe he would choose a Beta as a lover, and insists their relationship was that of a kept lover and his benefactor. After Rong Huan helps him through his heat, he throws some money at him and tells him to get lost.
Rong Huan won't put up with that. No matter how much he loves Yan Zongwei, he can't stand that kind of humiliation, so he breaks up with him without a second thought.
Yan Zongwei acts like he doesn't care about the breakup, but when he sees Rong Huan laughing and chatting with someone else, he feels awful.
In his subconscious, Rong Huan belongs by his side and nowhere else.
He finds Rong Huan and asks to get back together, but Rong Huan shuts him down with, "I don't date people I've already dated."
Yan Zongwei insists that Rong Huan dated his twenty-eight-year-old self, not the him of right now, then cries and throws a fit until Rong Huan agrees to start dating him again.
Rong Huan already loves Yan Zongwei and is softhearted, so they get back together.
Then, just two days after they have an affectionate proposal, Yan Zongwei regains his memories.
Yan Zongwei remembers everything that happened during his amnesia. He's furious that Rong Huan fell for his amnesiac self, and insists that the proposal doesn't count.
