From the gong's perspective: At first, he just thought the grimy mechanic was pretty interesting. He liked teasing him and thought it was fun to watch him get startled.
But later, he realized his thoughts were getting a little strange.
From the shou's perspective: Cheng Xiaocheng doesn't have any grand ambitions. After finally getting into college, all he wants is to graduate quickly and find a stable job, preferably one with little work, good pay, and close to home.
But ever since he repaired the S-Class mech "Black Edge," he can't seem to forget how it felt, or the person who piloted it.
Life isn't easy. If he can find something he loves and be with someone he loves, that would be the best of all.
