For money, Xin Tianyou signs an agreement to marry Shang Liyu, a major general whose mental sea has collapsed, in place of his younger brother, who ran away from his own wedding.
He thinks it's just a contract marriage. They'll part on good terms after a month, and each will go their own way.
But something strange happens: Shang Liyu's mental sea should only be treatable by a guide of the same rank.
Though Xin Tianyou has no qualifications, he eases Shang Liyu's breakdown and even cures his mental collapse.
When their agreed-upon term is up, Shang Liyu refuses to break up. Sensing trouble, Xin Tianyou can only slip away without a word...
Then he hears that Shang Liyu is looking for him like a madman.
"You little liar. You ran off without even giving me an explanation."
"Why are you avoiding me? Why won't you come back?"
In the night, the man kisses him fiercely, begging him to stay by his side forever.
