I hate how the bright moon hangs high, shining on everyone but me!
Eighteen-year-old Shi Fei was devastatingly beautiful, but spoiled and domineering, with a notorious reputation. She was known throughout the martial world as a "witch." Her father couldn't control her, so he sent her to the Ling Shan Sect, a place of spiritual cultivation, to temper her disposition.
Who could have guessed that Shi Fei would become even more lawless once she arrived on the mountain? She humiliated her fellow disciples, slashed at her martial uncle with a sword, drove her master away, and turned peaceful Ling Shan into utter chaos.
The disciples of Ling Shan complained bitterly: "How is this sending her here to cultivate? They clearly dumped a menace on us to torment us!"
The sect leader fretted. "Is there anyone else willing to take her as a disciple?"
At those words, everyone scattered. Only one person remained seated.
And so this "menace" gained another temporary master: her junior martial uncle, Chi Yan.
Chi Yan hadn't wanted to be her master either. He'd only been forced to accept this hot potato because he couldn't get away.
Looking at the only person on the whole mountain who didn't take her seriously, Shi Fei smirked triumphantly. "Now I've got you! Let's see how long you can keep acting so aloof."
Content warnings:
- Age gap: heroine is 18, hero is 28.
- The heroine is not a perfect character. She's immature and domineering, has a terrible temper and a truly venomous tongue, and is genuinely unhinged, attacking everyone indiscriminately. She's a witch, but not a villainess. If you can't accept this, we don't recommend reading. If you do, please show her some extra love (๑´ㅂ`๑),;
- The hero is a wonderful guiding partner, and his paralysis in both legs is permanent.
For the first eighteen years of her life, Shi Fei lived by one principle: the kind are bullied, and the meek are taken advantage of. There was only one person she ever bowed her head to: her junior martial uncle, Chi Yan, who sheltered her in his arms when danger came. From then on, the warmth of that brief embrace stayed with her through many years of confusion and cold.
Years later, they met again...
A story about love.
