The Story of Can Ge and Old Han

Jin Zhengcan's lips curved into a smile. "Watch closely. I'll demonstrate just once."

He hooked an arm around Han Siran's neck and leaned in close to his ear, speaking two words in a low voice. No one present could make them out, but they saw Han Siran's expression change in an instant, darkening until it looked ready to drip. His hands clenched into fists at his sides, trembling with fury. The veins stood out on his forearms, and his whole presence turned fierce and frightening.

"Jin, Zhengcan." He ground out the name, one word at a time. "It's been so long. What makes you think I'd still let myself be humiliated by you like before?"

An eerie silence fell over the lounge. Jin Zhengcan, meanwhile, acted as if nothing had happened. He stroked Han Siran's taut back as if soothing a ruffled cat and smiled. "Aw, my invitation failed." He turned toward the door. "Well, I'm off."

Just as his hand closed around the doorknob, Han Siran finally spoke again. "Wait!" His voice was so dry it sounded forced out of his throat. "...The address."

Jin Zhengcan turned around, his smile confident and brazen, as if he'd known the answer from the moment he asked.

"Sister Hong, send General Manager Han my hotel room number. Tonight, we'll..." He winked at Han Siran and chuckled. "Catch up."
