The Cannon Fodder Taoist Nun Just Wants to Survive by Relying on the Fox King

Song Wan transmigrates into an occult novel as the cannon-fodder biological daughter.

The good news: She knows magic.

The bad news: Her spells are random, and who they hit is entirely up to fate.

In the original novel, the fake heiress accidentally unseals the Fox King, gains his protection for a year, learns magic, then kills Song Wan.

To survive, Song Wan finds the sealed thousand-year-old Fox King before the fake heiress can.

She seals a blood pact in exchange for a year of the Fox King's protection.

She thinks that clinging to the Fox King's coattails will let her escape her deadly predicament and live in peace.

Who knew that when she returns to the Song family, the fake heiress would have a new backer: the Ghost King.

Bai Yuan never expected the one to break his seal would be a little Taoist priestess whose magic was completely unreliable.

The blood pact is sealed. Well, she's weak, but that's fine. He'll protect her for a year anyway.

But why has his thousand-year-old nemesis, the Ghost King, become the fake heiress's betrothed?

In the original novel, the Ghost King dies horribly at the hands of the Fox King and the fake heiress!

Old enemies, new complications, and the whole plot is falling apart.

Song Wan: ...I'm not saving anyone. Let's all go down together!

Fox King: Don't worry. I'll take out the Ghost King, and you take out the fake heiress.
