My Teacher Has a Heart of Iron

When Lin Fu was young, he was assigned Luo Hanjiang as a nominal master.

This remarkably gifted young man from a prominent family fell in love at first sight with his young master, the Sword Saint.

Everyone believed Lin Fu was so afraid of his master that he avoided him even though they lived on the same immortal mountain.

Only Lin Fu knew the truth: he was afraid his feelings would show in his eyes, and his master would expel him from the sect.

Then he would never see Luo Hanjiang again, and their emotional bond would be severed forever.

Lin Fu vented in his journal:

[Master took another junior brother as a disciple. Now there's even less of his attention for me as his disciple.]

[My martial uncle mocked me today for not daring to pursue Master. I told him that even though he was so brave, he still wasn't with the person he loved. We drank bitter wine together all night.]

[Why does Master look at me less warmly than he looks at my junior brothers and sisters? Could he have noticed my feelings? I must watch every word I say from now on.]

The deeper Lin Fu falls, the more he avoids him. Eventually, he can't even bring himself to look his master in the eye.

Everyone says Luo Hanjiang is cold and unfeeling. He never wanted Lin Fu as a disciple, and barely spares him a glance at the mountain sect.

No one knows that every time Luo Hanjiang meets Lin Fu, he punishes himself by meditating in the ice cave.

Yet the more he shuts himself away, the clearer his feelings become.
