Infinite Rewind

Blue Star, in a parallel world, is in the midst of a crisis as the uncanny invades. Chu Ying has only just transmigrated here when he's thrown in at the deep end and becomes one of the people caught up in the game. However, his brain seems to have short-circuited, and everyone has mistaken him for an unparalleled master. To viewers watching the Ascension live stream, this year's breakout star, Chu Ying, is the salvation of the entire country. No matter how difficult the question, he seems to see the answer at a glance and follow the one absolutely correct path. Every step is like dancing on the edge of a blade, yet no matter what desperate situation he faces, he seems to handle it with ease. Faced with the overly fervent gazes of a crowd imagining far too much, Chu Ying can only keep up the act. But in truth, only he knows how many times he has died on the way through each level. He has learned the truth through trial and error, at the cost of his life. Time rewinds and the game resets. Only by continuing to climb through stages cleared at the cost of millions of deaths can he uncover the truth behind it all. PS: Light on rule-based horror, with a touch of the “everyone thinks the protagonist is a genius” trope. Theme: Overcome fear and face yourself.
