The Idol's Little Assistant

After years apart, his childhood friend Duan Boyu skyrockets to fame overnight as a rising idol. Qiao Min sends him a congratulatory message, only to receive a red exclamation mark in reply. But the next morning, Duan Boyu shows up at his door with a box full of cash...

Qiao Min, fuming: What are you doing here? Didn't you delete me?

Duan Boyu: I need an assistant.

Qiao Min: If you need someone, go find someone else! You're not welcome here!

Duan Boyu: I think you'd be perfect for the job.

Qiao Min: What did you just say? You didn't just trample all over our friendship, you insulted me, too!

Duan Boyu opens the box, revealing stacks of bright red banknotes: This is my show of good faith. Think it over.

Qiao Min: ...You think you can buy me off with this?

Duan Boyu holds up all ten fingers: I'll pay you this much.

Qiao Min: T-t-ten... one hundred thousand?

Duan Boyu: Mm-hm.

Qiao Min: P-per month?

Duan Boyu: Per hour.

Qiao Min drops to his knees with a thud: Dad!
