A host’s over-the-top introduction rang in her ears.
“This is an F-class Guide abandoned by the Tower! She can’t reverse or cure the animalization disease afflicting Sentinels, but she can ease their suffering during an episode. Bidding starts at 5,000 Alliance Coins! Each bid must be at least 500 higher!”
“Bidding starts now!”
Ten minutes later---
She had been bought for 7,000 Alliance Coins by a boy not yet twenty, with mottled gray dog ears atop his head.
“...May I ask where we are?”
The boy, leading her down an alley, looked back at her with pity. “F1567 Garbage Star. The Tower uses it to dump Sentinels and Guides who have lost their value.”
“Huh?”
Sentinels? Guides?
Jiang Bai stared in shock for a long while before finally accepting the fact that she had been forced to transmigrate.
“Then how do I survive here?”
That was what she wanted to know most.
The boy’s silvery-gray eyes were utterly lifeless. “An F-class Guide can’t survive here.”
