A general store opened in Zici Town, on the edge of the continent.
They say its counter is lined with potions from the Tower Witch, and its curtain, festooned with gold ornaments, is the proud work of dwarven artisans.
Even the owner is no ordinary person: the most avaricious dragon in legend, with a legendary love of gold.
A dragon?
The townsfolk crowded together on the blue bricks, craning their necks to peer through the rickety wooden door.
Behind the cluttered counter, a red-haired young man turned his face to the side and fiddled with an earring in his right hand.
"Hello," he said hesitantly. "Can I help you with anything, ladies and gentlemen?"
The townsfolk exchanged bewildered looks and awkward smiles, hiding behind their backs storybooks about dragons and princesses.
Later, the general store became a small shop, then slowly expanded like a slime until it grew into a department store.
More and more adventurers came to Zici Town.
Some wore the long robes of divine messengers, some rode rainbow-colored winged horses, and some wore golden crowns.
The townsfolk had never seen adventurers like them, so they gathered around and cautiously asked, "What brings you here?"
The adventurers grinned.
"There's the God of Wine's liquor and the Sea God's pearls. There are angel feathers left behind from a long-lost age, and companion branches shed by reclusive elves."
They pointed to the dazzling golden sign and smiled.
"If you can imagine it, you'll find it here."
One mild spring afternoon, the dragon listened to instructions from something calling itself the System and carried a box of glittering jewels to open the door of a general store in Zici Town.
Every day from then on, the dragon would push open the shabby little wooden door and show off the countless rare treasures on the shelves.
"Welcome to the Shining Mall! We sell anything you can imagine."
"What can I get for you?"
Customers rushed in, scrambling to hurry off to different sections.
The dragon blinked and poked the feathers of an angel cashier.
"It's so busy. I'll leave it to you."
The Grand Archangel, who had never done a day's work in his life, looked into the dragon's eyes and gave a slight nod.
The dragon turned away happily, then suddenly turned back.
His eyes slyly swept over the angel.
"By the way, have I ever told you... your eyes look like gold?"
A cheerful, money-loving, dim-witted, illiterate dragon uke with incredible luck x a gloomy, unlucky, food-loving archangel seme who works as a cashier
1v1, both virgins, happy ending
Shopkeeping √ Western fantasy √ Airhead and grump √
Come join the Dragon Lord in building his business empire (not really)
A few things to know before reading:
1. Handsome seme, adorable uke. No swapping, reversing, character-obsessing, or self-insert fantasies. This couple is locked in a 1v1 relationship, and I've destroyed the key on the spot. Anyone who interferes with their relationship will become the dragon's dinner (angry).
2. Some ensemble cast elements. Every mall employee has a special talent.
3. The uke is truly illiterate. You can't expect a dragon to be both well-behaved and well-read! Not being able to read doesn't make him stupid or a bad kid.
4. It's important to reiterate that the seme is handsome, and a handsome seme with a faux saintly personality. If you don't like handsome semes, please don't wander in and then yell at me.
