Visitor from the Snowy Mountains

Xie Qingyao was traveling with a group of self-driving tourists as they crossed a snow-capped mountain. An accident caused a traffic jam halfway there, and when he got out for some fresh air, he thought he saw a figure on the mountain opposite.

Shocked, he hurriedly looked through his binoculars. The figure seemed to sense him and turned to meet his gaze.

That night, an unexpected visitor suddenly appeared in the hotel room where Xie Qingyao was staying.

The man stood by the window with his arms crossed and issued an order as if assigning him a task.

“Pack your things. You're coming with me.”

Xie Qingyao fired off three questions: “Who are you? Why should I listen to you? What exactly are you trying to do?”

The man said, “Because you saw me.”

Leaving the group of self-driving tourists behind, they ventured deep into the heart of the snow mountains and crossed an uninhabited zone. From that point on, Xie Qingyao's life changed beyond recognition.
