Sorry, I Have No Obligation to Act Cute

Lin Wei, a top streamer on Fanxing TV, is famous for making his streams entertaining. His tips consistently place him in the monthly top ten, and he's won himself countless fans.

There's just one thing: he never shows his face.

Later, one scandal after another breaks, and all kinds of unflattering photos spread across the internet. He stops streaming for six months.

When the storm dies down, people can't help but sigh.

One night, six months later, at the time when the most users are online, his long-dormant account suddenly appears online.

Haters and longtime fans alike rush into his stream, thrilled.

Huh? He's still playing games? Boring.

Wait, who's that in the bottom-left corner of the screen?

Did he sell his account? Did he get plastic surgery during those six months?

Lin Wei suddenly going live draws in most of the platform's traffic. The stream keeps lagging, and even many of the biggest streamers come by to see what's going on.

In response to countless accusations of plastic surgery, he calmly posts a series of photos from kindergarten through university.

The cool beauty gazes indifferently at the camera. "Something happened six months ago, and I didn't have the energy to deal with all those rumors. Now I have time. There's some business we need to settle, one account at a time."

His fans in the chat: Dude, why didn't you tell us you looked like this sooner???

Now say "please, I'm begging you" in that face and pout for us again, won't you?

Lin Wei smiles faintly, and the stream is flooded with tips and animated effects, so many the screen is almost impossible to make out.

"Sorry, I'm not obligated to pout."

When the company's star streamer gets into trouble, Gu Sichuan, the company president, checks in briefly and helps out a little.

By chance, they meet in person.

From the way Gu Sichuan looks at him, Lin Wei can tell what he's probably thinking, and even prepares himself for how to turn him down.

But after their meal, Gu Sichuan never mentions meeting again. Even when work requires them to meet, he sends his assistant instead.

Lin Wei: ??? Did I just imagine he was interested in me?

Lin Wei returns to the top of Fanxing TV's rankings, shows his face in a small window to greet his fans, and gets bombarded with gifts from viewers begging him to bring back his signature pout. He calmly turns them down.

During a break, he wanders into the living room and spots Gu Sichuan, who's come home to pick up some documents. Wearing fuzzy slippers, he runs over and throws himself onto Gu Sichuan.

"Kiss me before you go," he says, pouting.
