People are always curious about the option they didn't choose. If you had the chance, would you want to know what that choice led to?
Sometimes, one different choice in a single moment creates two different worlds.
When Xia Changfeng filled out his college application, he was equally interested in two different majors at two different universities. He flipped a coin to decide his future, and a new parallel world came into being. In one timeline, Xia Changfeng followed his father's instructions and studied electronic information engineering.
In the other, he chose to stick to his own plans and went abroad to pursue further studies in biology as Elian Xia.
Two years after earning his master's degree, Elian's friend, a physicist, told him that he'd built a "parallel world viewer."
Looking through the viewer's interface, Elian saw another version of himself, who had become an executive at his father's company...
That version of himself seemed particularly fond of him. Of course, he felt the same way.
