[Welcome to The Chosen Survival Game. Current world: A2-1. Scenario: Survival at Sea]
[Survival, opportunities, danger, advancement... Choose safety or challenge, drift alone or team up with others. Every step is up to you. Stay alive, then pass the selection]
Bead-art intern He Can was heading to work early one morning. He opened the door with a trash bag in hand and found nothing but an endless ocean. The city had vanished.
His top-floor rental apartment detached itself and was set adrift at sea.
He Can: Wow...
He gained a skill that could make bead art real, accidentally skipped the beginner tutorial, and made the System urgently take back a beginner’s gift pack.
He Can: Huh?
He Can had never played a survival game before. He thought he’d ended up in the same sort of wilderness survival show as X Ye, and figured his practical skills would help him overcome anything.
In reality, his starting strength was 3. He couldn’t even beat a seagull.
He Can said nothing and kept fishing, scavenging, hoarding, selling, and lying low.
When he met a monster: “Don’t come any closer!” (Then he stabbed straight through it.)
When he met new friends: “Come on!” (Team member acquired: +1, +1.)
When he met an expert: “I’m just a noob, help me out!” (The expert who thought he’d be carrying a noob ended up as his bodyguard.)
While others navigated to islands, he emptied them out. While others fought for their lives, he farmed and tilled the soil. When others begged him to sell them supplies or they’d start a fight, he raised his prices and sat back as his fortune piled up...
What was his talent?
He had no idea. If it worked, he used it.
Every day at noon and midnight, bead art, activate!
As he stockpiled beads, made things, and farmed, he climbed to first place on the resource, homestead, and wealth rankings.
There was also a combat ranking. Whenever he activated his second talent, he took first place there, too.

Later, more and more top-tier teammates gathered around him, and he started to lie flat.
Every one of his teammates had a special skill. They had strength and brains, and could handle everything from cooking and decorating to sailing.
They all loved peace and wanted no trouble. If someone picked a fight, his teammates dealt with them. If a natural disaster struck, his teammates faced it. If the world was shrouded in mist, his teammates explored it...
Other than helping his teammates screen their dates, he couldn’t lie any flatter. When nothing was happening, he made bead art and did quests.
When a new quest began, some weekly paper published a headline under “Top-Ranked News”: SHOCKING! The Mysterious Leader of the Bead Bead Squad Is About to Reveal His True Identity!
At the dock, He Can received that week’s paper and couldn’t help grumbling: How am I mysterious? I don’t even wear a mask when I set up my stall.
He rolled up the paper. “Whatever, let’s go! Our destination: the depths of the endless blue sea!”

Little skit: Rank Two issues a challenge.
Rank Two: You’re Zhu Bajie, the Pig Who’s as Happy as Spring?!
He Can: Bajie? Is something wrong with that?
Rank Two: Nothing wrong. That dead bird beside you looks pretty scary, though.
He Can: Oh! You’re done for!
The seagull beside him, which hadn’t looked all that big, instantly transformed into a monstrous Taotie and sent Rank Two on a one-day trip through its stomach.
He Can: Sorry, I fed it too much. It’s got quite an appetite.

Minor updates to content warnings and reading notes:
1. A survival game with leveling up, farming, management, and construction. This is a fantasy world with no magic. The story has a slower pace.
2. The protagonist has a sunny disposition and a soft spot for saintly goodness. He isn’t too ruthless (with humans, at least), tends to be an ordinary person, and can be pretty absurd.
3. The protagonist’s intelligence is 8/10, close to the limits of an ordinary person.
If you find a plot hole, attack the author, not any character (except the villains).
4. The official pairing is Ou Ye: handsome top, beautiful bottom, one-on-one, and each other’s first love. The romance is a substantial part of the story.
5. The teammates are close to evenly split between men and women. A few may develop crushes, but this isn’t a reverse harem.
6. The story is expected to be one million characters, possibly longer. The ending has already been planned.
7. No major revisions before the story is finished unless there’s a serious mistake. (On August 25, I adjusted the line spacing in some chapters and fixed punctuation.)
This is fresh off the press, so there may be typos, missing words, errors or repetition, awkward word order, incorrect item names, and so on.
I’ll check before posting, but if anything slips through, let the author have a taste first. I’ll polish it up later.
Theme: Sprout like a bean!
Why do you want to sell the food you have hoarded? Instant noodles can be eaten dry, and dried noodles and rice can also be saved for later. After all, there is no way to obtain food stably, so why just sell the food directly?
How can I change from speaking in human language? Was 🐶 translated by the protagonist?
Didn't you already speak before?
Laughing so hard, the last time I saw this kind of icon was when I was playing Don't Starve [covering my face and laughing]
???? Why don't you keep it for yourself? The notes will look useful.
[Afraid] Is this the seagull?
... The protagonist really doesn't look like he has a very high IQ, and his logic is completely illogical. What he digs up in this kind of treasure hunt is obviously to exchange important information.
Deadly two-headed shark Deadly three-headed shark Deadly five-headed shark 🐶
Have you read the teacher at the back and asked if the currency has been changed? 🙏. This question mark is too dramatic and affects the perception a bit.
Didn't you change the fire type before? I told you the news right away, so who will change?
