(There are character cards for the love interest, too! The cover design shows him! The artist hasn't finished the individual character cards yet, but they'll be uploaded.)
Yun Hui, the last heir of the Daoist sect, transmigrates into a world rife with occupational discrimination.
In his previous life, spiritual energy dwindled and the Daoist sect fell into decline. In this life, he is determined to revive the Danhuang Sect on this continent, where spiritual energy is abundant!
In this world, tanks look down on squishy spellcasters and summoners. Healers look down on squishy spellcasters and summoners. Physical DPS players look down on them because... spellcasters and summoners take too long to cast and deal too little damage!
As a result, mages and summoners have gradually become as rare as endangered animals.
This continued for years, until one day, a mysterious man named Yun Hui appeared at the First Academy.
He wore a yellow robe and black boots, holding a wooden sword in his left hand and a compass in his right.
The warriors said, "He has a sword and shield, so he must be a warrior!"
The priests said, "Nonsense! He's wearing a robe. Have you ever seen a tank wear a robe instead of armor? He's clearly a priest!"
The swordsmen said, "He's holding a sword, so he must be one of our physical damage dealers! You two have taken so many hits you've gone stupid!"
As factions from academies all over the land argued, the mysterious man quietly said, "I'm a mage."
"What! A mage, the worst class in the game for a hundred years?!"
"What! He's wearing a robe, but he's not a priest?!"
"What! He's applying for a teaching position!"
At the academy tournament, Yun Hui faces an opponent hailed as a once-in-a-century genius archer.
"You've got to be kidding! Mages move slowly and take forever to cast. How could one possibly block an arrow?!"
"Give up, Yun Hui! Think of your professor! If you die, your professor will lose his job!"
Just as everyone thinks the "mage" is about to meet his end, a miracle happens.
This "mage" simply stands there, without even a staff, and defeats his opponent! What's more, he can summon wind, rain, thunder, and lightning out of thin air, and even demons!
Facing the genius archer's look of disbelief, Yun Hui smiles faintly. "Your arrows are too slow."
The archer cries, "How... could you... block my arrows? Aren't you a mage?! And you can summon things, too? You must be cheating."
Yun Hui smiles again. "If your attack is strong enough, you don't need defense."
The next day, the title of the continent's leading "mage-summoner hybrid" begins to circulate.
Afterward, Yun Hui stands on the awards podium. When asked how he managed to master both arts, he merely smiles.
"Actually, I practice Qimen Dunjia."
"You mean the living creatures? Those are the soldiers I summon."
The whole continent is in an uproar. The title of this master, once "the continent's number-one hybrid," becomes...
Daoist Master.
When asked if he has anything to say, Yun Hui switches on the amplifier developed by Tianyan and says:
"The Danhuang Sect is recruiting! Inquire within."
Gian is the last summoner, but he hates being one.
He has demon blood and should have been incredibly strong, the perfect candidate to become a warrior.
But because his mutated constitution is frail and his body grows slowly, he can only become a summoner with powerful magic.
The shattering of his dreams leaves him in a constant slump, until he meets Yun Hui.
After the academy tournament, Gian's eyes widen.
It takes him three months to figure out how someone with not a trace of magic inside him...
could possibly be both a mage and a summoner!
