You're an honest man whose greatest wish is one husband and two children, three filling meals a day, and peace and stability through all four seasons.
You and your husband have only recently married. Though he's hot-tempered, he's also thoughtful and caring, and your life together is blissful. Then your cousin, who has been seriously ill for a long time, suddenly passes away, leaving you with a brother-in-law who has been widowed almost as soon as he married. Since your cousin's family line must continue, the clan decides you should take responsibility for both households: support your brother-in-law and carry on the family line. They also choose you a second husband, a young man of only sixteen.
Your husband has a fiery temper and makes a huge fuss about it. Your second husband is naive and inexperienced, and gets bullied terribly. Fortunately, your brother-in-law is aloof and solitary, and never gives you any trouble. You do everything you can to keep the two households in harmony, and after all your hard work, things finally settle down.
But one night, after drinking too much, you wake up in your brother-in-law's bed.
Your husband is furious and turns the whole house upside down, saying you're trying to drive him to his death. You hide in your second husband's courtyard, only to find that the innocent young man has developed feelings for you too. In tears, he asks why you chose the other man and not him. Just as you're at your wits' end, your sweetheart from your youth comes to your door. His family has fallen on hard times, his future is uncertain, and he begs you to take him in and protect him.
Your household is in chaos once more. Pulled in every direction, you have a splitting headache.
