Reborn to Fortune by Dumpster Diving [The Nineties]

Ye Sheng's parents married for love.

Her maternal grandparents were teachers, while her paternal grandparents collected scrap for a living.

Ever since she could remember, she had rarely seen her paternal grandparents. When they did meet, the old couple was always ill at ease, afraid to get too close to her.

Her parents argued about it constantly.

Her mother thought they both had respectable jobs, and it would look bad if people heard that their elders collected scrap.

Later, her paternal grandparents handed their scrap-collecting “business” over to a relative, and her father went into business to make money.

Ten years later, the relative who collected scrap had built a thriving enterprise and become a big boss. Meanwhile, her supposedly highly educated father wasn't suited to business. After ten years of struggling, he had earned little and accumulated debts.

After Ye Sheng finished the college entrance exams, her parents divorced.

Ye Sheng couldn't understand how two intelligent, highly educated people could be so easily swayed by others. They had loved each other so much, yet still lost to the so-called “reputation” imposed on them by the outside world.

Given another life, Ye Sheng decided she would shut up the pack of awful relatives at her maternal grandparents' house, change her image-conscious mother and her tactless father, then take over her paternal grandparents' family business and become the new century's “Scrap King.”
