Aventurine has recently found himself with a small, rather sweet problem.
Someone who looks exactly like him when he was a boy... well, not quite a boy. A teenager, really, has landed on his spaceship.
It's obvious that the child is connected to him, whether by blood, looks, or those unmistakable Avgin eyes.
A parallel world, right? He knows all about those.
Aventurine, who keeps up with popular reading, nodded and found a reasonable explanation for the boy's existence.
But he soon realized that Kakavasha wasn't quite like the version of himself he remembered.
"...You don't drink water?"
Aventurine knocked on Kakavasha's door, exasperated, and held out a cup of warm water.
He'd had to travel to another planet for work and had been away for about two days. According to his subordinates, Kakavasha hadn't had a drop of water the entire time he was gone, and hadn't even left his room.
He knew that his younger self had been sensitive, but wasn't this a bit much? At the very least, he still needed to eat and drink.
At first, Aventurine thought it was wariness of the unknown, or fear of unfamiliar surroundings.
But he soon realized that wasn't it.
There was nothing complicated about it. The truth had always been simple.
For this Kakavasha, life simply wasn't a necessity.
Unlike him, Kakavasha had never set foot on the Path of Preservation.
"Listen, friend, you'd better tell me you didn't come from that damned gladiator arena, right?"
"Reader's Guide"
1. The protagonist transmigrates, but he has also lived through a lifetime as Kakavasha.
2. At its core, this is a story focused on angst. The supporting characters, including Aventurine's imagined scenarios, will also get plenty of page time.
P.S. Please don't leave corrections too often. The author is very sensitive to criticism and can get upset if there are too many. I'll proofread and fix mistakes myself. To protect my mental health and keep updating, I may delete or hide comments that point out errors too frequently.
I hope you understand. This is so the author can take in your reading experience and keep providing the next chapter in a timely manner. I'm very sorry!
