Blurb:
After going missing for two years, Xia Xinchun returns and is taken in by Zhou Yuanxing, the owner of the Forgiveness Bar.
They live under the same roof, and at first they get along without incident. But one absurd misunderstanding suddenly makes her presence impossible to ignore, gradually stirring his heart.
Before he knows it, he starts getting involved in her life. Curiosity turns to doubt, then tentative probing gives way to tenderness... And somewhere along the way, he falls in love with her.
After enduring pain she can never erase, she has no expectations for life beyond staying alive, and she dares not hope for love.
But she underestimates herself. As the years pass, the flutter she first felt when she was young never fades. Even now, she still cannot resist his attraction.
A hug, a kiss, and his love seeps little by little into her heart, helping her slowly rediscover the self she lost to time.
Life lasts only a few decades. May there be more joy than sorrow in this world.
A few notes:
1. I first finished this story in 2018. I revised it more than once afterward, but was never satisfied, so I eventually took it down. The version posted here has been carefully polished.
2. Why revise a novel that hardly anyone reads over and over? It may sound like a thankless task, but I couldn't let it go. I put so much time and effort into revising it for no other reason than peace of mind.
3. None of the characters in this story are perfect...
