Then she's pulled into the game.

The sunny, knightly puppy-boy locks her in a secret room, presses his sword to her flushed neck, and asks with a cold gaze, “How do you want to die, you impostor pretending to be her?”

The gentle, kind gentleman sneaks in at night and steals her away. His expression dark, he kisses her feverish lips again and again. “Why did you run?”

Fleeing her wedding in a gown, Ju Wu stumbles and falls right in front of the third romance-game male lead.

He's the super-honest man from the original story. He doesn't seem out of character.

Ju Wu thinks to herself: This guy should be reliable.

She decides to cling to the honest guy and keep her head down until the story is over.

Then she suddenly hears the name Herifus, and the plot goes off the rails.

She's been killed so many times while playing through the game that she's traumatized.

She's afraid of Herifus, the villainous boss with nearly unbeatable combat power and an especially large number of doubles.

The honest guy says, “You're safe with me.”

Moved, Ju Wu decides to repay him for saving her life by helping him work through his psychological issues. But she'll only go as far as a hug, since she's allergic.

But his psychological issues get worse. In the middle of the night, he sits by her bed and asks to continue their sessions.

Then a kiss, since her allergy symptoms have been getting better lately. It's not like she'll lose anything.

Until he's clinging to her so much that her allergies flare up again, and she tries to escape his room.

She accidentally rushes into the walk-in closet, where beside the mirror hangs a “costume” that looks exactly like the honest guy...

As she stands there, horrified, a low chuckle sounds above her, and she's pulled into a cold embrace.

The familiar warm voice turns into a wicked, coaxing one:

“What did you find?”

“Wait...” Ju Wu's voice trembles. She suddenly looks up as his hand slowly closes around her neck, gently caressing it.

A faint flush rises again.

A cold chuckle echoes around them.

In the mirror before her, the honest guy's face suddenly changes, revealing the bewitchingly handsome features beneath.

It is the face that has haunted her dreams countless times.
