After the Brooding Puppy Went Viral on Sisters Who Make Waves

[Brooding, obsessive, cold-faced screenwriter × Gentle-on-the-surface, award-winning host]

A brief encounter in their youth.

In public, Jian Tingzhu was gentle and gracious, with impeccable poise: a brilliant senior admired by everyone.

Only Yu Xi had glimpsed the person behind her mask.

They brushed past each other in a sea of people, then went their separate ways for years.

Until an impossible name appeared on Sisterhood: Chasing the Light: Yu Xi.

This award-winning screenwriter, who had won numerous prestigious industry prizes and spent years working behind the scenes without ever appearing in public, was actually joining a variety show.

The whole internet buzzed with curiosity about why this powerhouse had suddenly joined a reality show.

Jian Tingzhu had already been confirmed as a regular host. The instant she saw that name, the practiced smile on her face froze.

She suddenly remembered the girl from years ago: when the soles of her shoes split, she fixed them herself with glue. She walked slowly and never said a word, quietly following behind her.

Filming officially began.

With sheer skill, Yu Xi went from placing last in the opening stage to making a stunning comeback. She became the show's most popular dark horse and, paired with that episode's top-tier star and dance-pop diva, formed the official couple everyone online was talking about.

Halfway through filming, a secretly recorded video from backstage set the internet ablaze.

In a dim corridor, Yu Xi had Jian Tingzhu pinned against a door.

On camera, the host's eyes were red and the corners of her lips swollen.

The topic dominated the trending charts for three days. Fans argued for three days, and the production team issued three statements.

Jian Tingzhu, usually so skilled at handling public relations, made no attempt to explain herself this time.

Yu Xi was always cool and restrained when she looked at the camera. Only when she looked at Jian Tingzhu did her eyes turn so tender they seemed almost humble.

That was the little dog Jian Tingzhu had once raised, wagging its tail to win her favor.
