The apocalypse arrives, severing Yuan Jieshen's ties with Takamagahara. She joins forces with Huang and Miketsu to fight back against the end of the world.
Huang can predict whether it's safe to go out and where to find supplies. Miketsu is good at farming, and the greenhouse she tends is one of the few places in the apocalypse where unpolluted, radiation-free crops can grow. As for Yuan Jieshen, she's a useless little god, hanging onto her powerful teammates for dear life.
An armed squad launches a large-scale sweep. The streets are littered with corpses when a mechanical soldier appears behind her and issues an extermination order.

The consciousness that refused to die struggles fiercely beneath the machine's exterior. The mechanical soldier remembers the years he spent by her side as a boy, and lets her go.

The mechanical soldier Kidomaru is declared scrapped for disobeying orders.
His mechanical limbs are removed, leaving all four limbs useless. His remaining body, with only a shred of consciousness left, lies in a pile of garbage awaiting destruction, waiting to die.
Airheaded God scrambles through the garbage, searching for useful supplies, and finds him by chance.
Kidomaru curls his lips into a smile, unfazed by the look of horror on her face at the sight of his broken body. “So you've really become a god who collects junk.”
The god who collects junk takes a piece of junk home.
