An idol, as the name suggests, is a god-image made from materials like clay or wood, an object humans use to worship deities.
In other words, an "idol" is a deity's representative in the mortal world.
In the world where Yan Lu lives, this is the highest honor an entertainer can achieve. Only those who win public acclaim in fields such as music and acting, and whose talent and virtue are beyond reproach, can receive it.
From her first appearance on stage to finally earning the title of "idol," she worked diligently for over twenty years. But just after she won the trophy, before she could even enjoy it, she died in an onstage accident.
Fortunately, heaven gave her a second life, reincarnating her into a... well, a strange world.
