Morikawa Mio has lost her memory and has no one to turn to in Kabukicho. Fortunately, Granny Otose takes her in, and Mio repays her by working for her.
While working, she witnesses the trio from the Odd Jobs shop upstairs repeatedly stumbling their way through solving their clients' problems. At last, a little of her memory returns...
It turns out she's the protagonist!
"...Gintoki, forgive me for asking, but the protagonist of what?"
"Exactly! The protagonist of Gintama is obviously this queen, aru!"
"How could anyone recover their memories and think of that first?! Is something that irrelevant really what you have engraved in your DNA?!"
Faced with the trio's utter disbelief, Morikawa Mio waves a hand, magnanimously forgiving them. "That's the grace of a protagonist..."
The trio: "Grace of a protagonist, my foot!!"
Morikawa Mio insists that sooner or later she'll replace the Odd Jobs trio and become the protagonist. But as her memories occasionally flash back, she discovers that she's a high school girl, an otome game fanatic, and a fujoshi, but not the protagonist.
Then one day, she falls into a huge hole that suddenly appears in the road. When she opens her eyes, she's in the Taisho era of a parallel timeline.
After realizing she's transmigrated, Morikawa Mio's first thought is...
Her chance has come!
In this timeline, where there's no Odd Jobs, she'll build her own odd-jobs business and rise up to become the protagonist!
Not an employee, but the boss!
A beautiful woman suffering domestic abuse comes to her for help, holding her child. Morikawa Mio eagerly finds her a good place to go: the Paradise Faith.
Villagers at the foot of Mount Fujikasane are troubled by the screams that keep coming from the mountain. Morikawa Mio quietly follows a pink-haired boy into the wisteria forest.
When a brother and sister go missing one after the other on the Mugen Train, Morikawa Mio takes their portraits and eagerly boards the train as it begins running again.
And many, many more jobs...
Morikawa Mio: "Another day of being a good protagonist!"

[Reader's Guide] (Updated from time to time)
* Those rescued from their tragic fates include Kotoha, Sabito, Kyojuro, Tamayo, and others.
* About the pairings: Doma/Kotoha (bad ending warning), Obanai/Mitsuri stays together, Zenitsu/Nezuko and others are at most hinted at. I don't like kids dating.
* Some original settings are included to move the plot along and indulge my own preferences, such as being able to use the Demon Slayer Mark without dying young. They're the strongest Hashira of their eras, so let's cut them some slack!
* The main story is Demon Slayer, with Gintama making up about forty percent. There will also be references to or borrowed elements from series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Detective Conan, and Cardcaptor Sakura.
* Please don't make things personal! Keep the comments civil! Flamebait will be deleted!
