Ji Xingtai was a Beta. At least, he had been for the first eighteen years of his life.
He had a violent temper, little education, and even less morality. Desperate to scrape together money for his mother's medical treatment, Ji Xingtai put on high heels and a lace dress, pretended to be a sweet, innocent little Omega, and conned money out of older men.
That day, just after Ji Xingtai had landed a big score, a group of thugs showed up before he could get away.
In a panic, he ran into a refined-looking man in a wheelchair. Saving his own skin came first, so Ji Xingtai seized the wheelchair and cried in a sugary voice:

Ji Xingtai eyed him warily. “Does that price include sleeping with him?”
The assistant smiled. “Qi Yanyun has an insensitivity to pheromones. He's not interested in Alphas, Betas, or Omegas. You needn't worry.”
If the money was practically free, Ji Xingtai would have to be an idiot to hesitate. He signed the contract and got engaged without a second thought.
Little did Ji Xingtai know, everything was under Qi Yanyun's control.

Everyone said that the young master of the Qi family, Qi Yanyun, was exceptional and a perfect gentleman. What they didn't know was that he had an almost pathological need for control.
Qi Yanyun married Ji Xingtai so he could stay in line and serve as a decorative symbol of the bond between their families. Who could have guessed he'd brought home a little menace? He wanted to manage everything: Ji Xingtai's meals, clothes, daily routine, and grades. He even wanted to control Ji Xingtai's long-delayed Omega presentation.
He managed every little thing. Just as Qi Yanyun thought Ji Xingtai was finally behaving, the little rascal secretly drugged him, stripped off, sat on his lap, and shamelessly tried to seduce him.
Qi Yanyun gazed at Ji Xingtai's pale skin and flushed nape, and suddenly lost himself for a moment. His body changed in an instant. He caught the sweet, cloying scent in the air and quickly realized it was Omega pheromones.
Ji Xingtai: “Your condition... suddenly got better?”
Qi Yanyun: “Shameless little thing. How should I punish you this time?”
It was a night Ji Xingtai would come to regret. All he'd wanted was a temporary mark, so Qi Yanyun wouldn't abandon him when the fiancée he'd replaced came back.
Who could have known that his supposedly sexless Alpha husband would undergo a second presentation and turn into a beastly Enigma?
The fake engagement became real.
A few things to know before reading:
1. The gong is physically healthy. He only uses a wheelchair because he broke his leg in a fall.
2. The shou starts out as a crooked little sapling with some serious character flaws, but the gong disciplines him and helps him mend his ways.
3. The gong is older: 30, while the shou is 18. No children.
