The Hunter's Live-In Wife

Lin Yan is the only son of a hunter's family. Unlike his mother, who has a rugged appearance, he takes after his late father: gentle, timid, slender, and unable to put on weight no matter what.

He spends his days in the courtyard helping his mother strip the hides from wild animals, then sewing them into clothes for winter. His mother has kept a strict eye on him since childhood and won't even let him go out with others to gather firewood or wild herbs. She's afraid he'll die without a trace one day, just like his father.

There are only Lin Yan and his mother in the family. She is gone all day, leaving early and returning late, bringing back wild rabbits and pheasants from the mountains, and sometimes even hunting wild boar.
