The Proud Phoenix [GB]

Ming Dang was the pampered eldest young master of his family, born into wealth and promised in marriage to a woman of equal status with an excellent constitution.

Although Ming Dang had a poor constitution and grew into a spendthrift, he had been exquisitely beautiful since childhood, and his family spoiled him until he became willful and haughty.

But when he came of age, the noblewoman's family was suddenly destroyed, and she was hunted by her enemies. She was the only one left alive.

At the same time, disaster struck his own family. He was no longer the only cherished legitimate eldest son. His father had an illegitimate son outside the family who opposed him at every turn.

His father brought the young man home and even wanted him to take over Ming Dang's marriage and handle the family's affairs.

Outraged and panicked, Ming Dang hurriedly took the marriage contract to the woman to break off their engagement.
