The Koi Next Door Is My Comparison Group [Ancient to Modern]

Blurb:

After the new emperor ascended the throne, Chancellor Shang Huaixin was branded a treacherous villain. Every one of the more than fifty members of the Shang family was killed. Even the family's eggs had their yolks shaken apart.

At the age of seven, Shang Sui'an was born in the early 1970s, carrying memories of her death.

This time, she's the foil to the little village lucky charm next door.

Little Scene

"Sui Sui, I'm your dad. Hurry up and call me Dad. Daaad~"

Shang Sui'an scrunched up her little face and slapped the stubbly man's cheek:

Insolence! How dare you make such outrageous claims? Believe me, I'll have my father wipe out your whole family!

Her daughter had just landed a loud slap on his face, but her father only laughed and praised her. "Oh, our Sui Sui is so clever! So little, and she already knows you should slap someone in the face!"

The whole family nodded together. That's right, that's right. This child has been smart since she was little. Even her slaps are louder than other children's!

Little Scene

Shang Sui'an had only just arrived and found this unfamiliar world hard to adjust to.

She had once been the cherished eldest legitimate grandchild of her family, a treasure held in the palms of her grandparents and parents, the famous pearl of the Shang family throughout the dynasty.

But now, the Shang family's pearl was being held by the back of the head while her mother vigorously scrubbed her face.

"What would you know, you little thing? This is how you get clean. Look how fair and soft your skin is. Doesn't it make you so lovable?"

Shang Sui'an's face was red from scrubbing. She puffed out her cheeks and stamped her foot angrily. "This is intolerable! Intolerable!!"

The next second, her mother picked up the stamping child and dumped her outside, adding a warning: "If you come home filthy from playing again today, I'll show you what 'intolerable' really means!"

Shang Sui'an: ... Hmph!

Later, little Shang Sui'an became the undisputed boss of Huai Shu Village through her own efforts.

Everyone in the village, even the dogs, wagged their tails obsequiously when they saw her.
