Ming Xi took advantage of a cheap rent and moved into a haunted apartment. Her friend was horrified. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
She replied calmly, "The scariest thing in this world is being a broke ghost!"
Later, she didn't just run into a ghost for real. The ghost latched onto her, too.
Notes:
1. A writing exercise, just making things up. The detective and occult elements are all fictional.
2. The early chapters are lighthearted and everyday. The tone changes dramatically later. The characters aren't positive or mature, sorry.
