The Crime Catcher

Jiangfeng City is investing heavily in tourism and calls itself the "City That Never Sleeps." But behind the neon lights, crime is quietly taking root.

The city bureau's criminal investigation division is expanding its staff. It appoints former division chief Xia Zhi to lead a special operations team and brings in a mysterious consultant.

Rumor has it the consultant has just retired from the front lines at the border and enjoys special privileges from the provincial department. Yet he voluntarily requested a transfer to Jiangfeng City.

Xia Zhi has just returned from fieldwork when he hears the news.

"Whoa, he must have quite the connections."

The rest of the team thinks: If Captain Xia says that, this new consultant must be something else!

After all, their Captain Xia is still young, but has served on the narcotics squad and led the criminal investigation team. He's nicknamed "Jiangfeng's Number One Brick" and is known to the leadership as "Captain Xia, Always Useful."

But when Xia Zhi walks into the office and sees a stranger sitting on the sofa, he can't hide his surprise.

Who is this baby-faced guy who looks barely twenty?

Could he really be the legendary consultant with the mysterious background?

But why is the first thing out of this kid's mouth:

"Captain Xia, I've liked you for a long time. Let's solve cases together from now on!"
